Kheer also known as rice pudding is one of the delicious Indian sweets. We also have a day where you make kheer, a festive. So, here is the recipe for making delightful Kheer.
Ingredients:
1 lt full-fat milk
4 to 5 tablespoons white sugar
1/2 cup Basmati rice
One tablespoon raisins
1/2 teaspoon green cardamom powder
1/4 cup sliced almonds, toasted
1/4 cup chopped pistachio nuts
1/4 cup Cashews
How to make a rice kheer?
First, we need to rinse the rice for at least 3 times. And soak the rice in water for about 30 mins. Then take a pan and heat it to roast the almonds.
Now for making kheer, take a deep pot, add milk in it. Turn the heat to medium-high and let it come to boil. Till the drain the rice and keep it aside. Then reduce the flame and add rice it. Stir it well and let it simmer so that the rice will cook thoroughly. Then add sugar and mix well. Stir it continuously in between. It will take about 30 mins for the rice to be prepared so till then stir the rice and add milk to it when the milk gets thickened. All the milk added gets thickened and the rice will also be cooked till then finally add the chopped almonds, cashews and the cardamom powder in it, stir well and then turn off the flame. And at last, add the raisins. The Indian sweets kheer is ready to be served. You can serve it warm, or after it cools down, it tastes delicious in both the ways.
